I don't drink and I don't know everything.

There are those who call me Tim
I wonder if there's a specific reason why Putin, a man suspected of sexual misconduct against children, would want that to happen.

This is actually plagiarizing an earlier paper by Waterman et al. Shameful.

Imagine if to add to that the US realises / knows that all of its aircraft carriers, most of the good tanks, a whole bunch of nuclear capable bombers and plenty more were not just known to the Canadian military but were originally made there, using parts from a Canada-controlled supply chain.

The Vietnam War, a huge embarrassment for the US, went way better than this.

Imagine if instead of allying with the Vietnamese government (and still losing), the US had spent years failing to conquer Canada, whilst finding that even Russia was a willing ally of the incumbents.

That but worse.

…some laboratories were like, you can't smoke in THIS one…

The people to blame for that are King James VI and I, surely?

Must be hard to buy them in the UK though.

Supplier: "Ok, and there'll be a forklift on the lorry, so we'll unload them for you. If you're happy with the quote, just let me know your company name and we'll send an invoice."

Fascists: "Reform UK Lamp Post Vandals 2025 Ltd"

It's the billionaires with Farage in their pocket that people need to worry about, not the millionaires that Mr Farage can sway.

Ah, back in a simpler time when climate breakdown had barely got going.

Displaying the flag of St George? Surely a sign of unpatriotic thought.

If you're going to not have a home in London, Barnet is quite a nice area to not have it in.

It's odd – because, in the late 1940s, London was really working quite hard to address a shortage of affordable homes. It pretty much worked, too. Somehow either the will or the technology have been lost.

Justice delayed is society ashamed, or should be.

Being on remand for 5 years and then freed in half an hour – which in some countries is not the worst it can be – might feel a bad choice compared to a guilty plea and six months as a convict.

The NHS is part of an insurance system, although it has kind of grown out of it. The same system provided / provides pay to ill workers and support for their dependents, benefits whilst there was no work available, and a person if forced out of work due to injury or other disability.

…and more!

If they won't listen to Mr Putin - who is ruthless and effective when it comes to making a persuasive point - then they certainly won't be swayed by Mr Trump.

I honestly loved it from about 50 frames in.

If you want to reduce pressure on the NHS, then the hard boiled utilitarian policy is to mandate vaccination for healthcare staff and tax it heavily for everyone else.

(NB, NHS England planners, this is satire not a NICE recommendation)

The early meaning of the word was that it was a sort of "combined body", as in 'a university of students and professors'.

Neither has much use without the other.

Which of those rights would people genuinely not like to have?

Stretching it, but not by much.

Seems … accurate?

If Ukraine were protected by such well armed allies, and assuming world war 3 hadn't started, the elections could happen.

Could be that making it able to run on batteries was the easiest way to keep the samples loaded.

The court case costs might bankrupt the economy, but the damages just represent transfers that are likely to increase the velocity of money.
