My archery club is going to be hosting a national level tournament next year (and the year after) and I might be in the early stages of seeing if we can use V2L capable EVs to manage any power needs the competition might have.
Could generate some good, local press for EVs if it works out!

Apparently at an event recently Toyota's CEO was wearing orange guy apparel so that's fun.

I have been meaning to take new light painting shots of the car lately but I've either been busy with work, archery or the weather has been bad! Hoping to do some trial shots this week.

Seems like Porsche is intending to enter 4 cars into next year's Formula E championship.
I both like this development and wonder if it will be productive at all.
As we have seen presence in FE doesn't necessarily translate into popular EV products for the road.

I just found out that a monthly transit pass in Ottawa costs more than my monthly parking at work.
Combine that with the fact I drive an EV, would need to drive a fair distance to use public transit and for the journey to take twice as long if I did. Wow.
Transit in this city needs to improve.

ICE vehicles waste a whopping 80% of the energy in their fuel. Electric vehicles are propelled by entirely different mechanisms. Energy enters the vehicle as electricity, which directly powers the drivetrain: EVs need not convert one form of energy to another resulting in much higher efficiency.

I would love to test drive a bunch of EVs, but also not have the sales people try to sell them for me. I just want the experience.
EX: I would never buy an IONIQ 9, but I would love to drive one once to see how it feels.

Almost considering going out to Montréal sometime over this long weekend just to kick around and maybe see what EVs are around.

Oh yeah, I got my nicer winter wheels (and tires) on today only to end up curbing one of the rims to get out of an emergency vehicle's way. Oops. (It's just scratched up a bit)

So the EV4 is being delayed in the US. I have not heard anything about the Canada release.
Perhaps same sort of situation as the EV5? Will be interesting to see.
If the EV4 does not come here that will be another sign we should adopt Euro NCAP and not be dragged down by our southern neighbours.

Doing a rare fast charge since my power was out last night and I slept in too long to plug in this morning.
Was down to 16% which probably would have gotten me home but cut it close.
Note that even though this situation was mostly of my making, it wasn't a big deal to go charge in public.

We're getting into winter tire season, which has me thinking about what I want to do for next summer tire season.
Do I want to downsize my summer wheels and get more efficient tires for next summer? I am not a fan of the OEM supplied wheels or tires for my car honestly.
