Stigmatizing talking publicly about one's financial struggles is a very useful tool of the ruling class. It serves their interests to keep us from realizing how much we have in common and imagining, together, how much better we could have it if we forged real connections with one another.

Making a list of expenses and sorting between "wants" and "needs" when you're in financial straits is so 2001.

In 2025 it's sorting your expenses between "things I'll die if I go without for months" and "things I'll die if I go without for days" and cutting back on the first.

While many are talking about losing hope or moving to other countries,Native people have survived under U.S. gov't leaders that wanted us dead since the very beginning.This is still Native land,and will always be Native land.We never had the luxury to stop fighting.

I'm on Bluesky, relatively anonymous except to trusted community members, because I'm trying to find a pocket of peace w/in an abusive relationship - not a person, but an org all of whose "values" align with fascist programming & is intent on silencing me. Why are you on Bluesky?
