Yes, folding stick may be the way to go. I could leave one at work (hadn’t even thought of that, stupidly!), but could do with being able to take one elsewhere too

Also thinking maybe a folding walking stick is an alternative. Although they can be a bit fiddly too

lol yes, I feel the same. The big yellow mop head was its own warning but a stick is less obvious. A tube would be good, (sounds like a job for cable ties). Long enough and it would be secure without having to have any fiddly fastenings each time, just pop it in
