Hi Bluesky!
I’m Jessica. I built a career in early stage tech from the time of idealists and then left to find more purposeful work in building regenerative businesses.

I’m an herbalist, a futurist, and a sorceress. I’m a nature photographer and I write about empowerment, leadership, and society.

They're playing right into his hands and making him a martyr. They're showing who the system protects and who it doesn't.

People die because an insurance company denies claims? Too bad.

CEO gets murdered? CEO hotlines are created and the full force of the government comes down on the murderer.

I have the freedom to focus on that aspect of our world at any moment.

I’m appreciating the ability to envision a future where I’ve achieved all my goals.

Re: climate crisis adaption.

1. After last human breathes their last breath Earth will return to business as usual.

2. Humans are extremely adaptable to floods and wildfires

3. In 30 years climate terrorists might get public executions

Bleak.

2025 prediction:

Everything will increasingly depend on social proof.

-what you believe
-what you buy
-what you think is real or fake, good or bad, treasure or trash

Decreasing trust in institutional authority creates a reliance on what people around you are doing, thinking, creating, and buying.

Quick note on the women of Mar a Lago.

They feel compelled to modify their appearance into garish visages because that’s what expected of them and how they win affection.

It’s sad that they’ve allowed immoral and violent men to define their value and attractiveness. It’s disempowerment in heels.

I’m appreciating access to almost infinite information that I have available.

I can find and connect with like-minded individuals who understand and support my dreams.

It’s a gift to have the clarity of mind to focus and allow new information to change my opinion and help me grow.

The purpose of a company need not be maximizing shareholder profits.

That is one model from late stage capitalism (Milton Friedman) that correlates with the decline of democracy.

A company can be successful by serving the community it operates in, employees, the environment, and its investors.

I’m appreciating the self assured and strong individual I’ve grown into.

I can voice my feelings even when they might upset people who care about me.

I am able to advocate for myself and do not need approval, validation, or protection from others.

So the RBG PAC — the PAC that spent $20 million in support of Trump.

The one that was condemned by RBG’s family for using her name and image.

Turns out it was all funded by Elon Musk per filings that just went up.

My bravery and willingness to live life with an open heart invites more love and joyful connection into my reality.

Even small openings are courageous acts. ❤️‍🔥

I think a lot of normal people living lives in the real world don’t understand the stickiness of a social media addiction.

Those afflicted spend hours scrolling absorbing nervous system triggering information and dopamine until they are in a trancelike state.

Michelle Obama was right. This election was about the value of women in America.

An increasingly violent set of abusers propped up by profiteering billionaires using social media to brainwash gen alpha men into believing women have stolen their rightful place in the world and should be punished.

I created a post in another place about how I think Mar A Lago smells and it seems to have triggered a number of sensitive folks who have never been to Mar A Lago but feel strongly about its odor.

It’s nice to have this place in times like these where Im just a nice plant lady who likes Star Trek.
