Some in progress pics of this wallet. This was only my second time stitching by hand so I am pretty proud of the results. #leathercraft

We tried to watch it in the afternoon and couldn’t see a thing! Had to wait until night time and even adjusted the display settings to watch the episode.

That’s a goal for me too! I would really love to hand make something super high quality and long lasting. What kind of bags do you like?

12. So on shirt number 2, #ME2104 (which is more stripe dominated tuxedo with a solid bib), this is what that self drafted placket looks like on the striped sleeve.

11. The day before, I worked on changing the sleeves on one of the patterns #ME2104. Drafted a placket based on the the Making and Candor blog.

10. Thread from Wawak arrived, alongside some other goodies. My orders get to me within 24 hours usually, love that they seem to have warehouses on both coasts.

Wow the play curtain is very neat! I hope the recipient gets a lot of enjoyment out of it. You see a lot for other folks, definitely can see why 2025 is a year to treat yourself to your fine goods as well!

What’s up, #sewsky
I’m Mimi and I love working with my hands; sewing is one aspect of that. Software engineer by day, messy crafts by night. Big into mending and thrifting, love me a barrel leg trouser.

I also love seeing other folks’ pets, especially if they are interrupting a sewing project 😸

9. Intermission, I ran out of thread. Then waffled on a WAWAK order until it was holding up 4 projects.

6. I did all that work matching the pattern, to discover that I hated how the top most pocket in the pocket stack looks. Removed. Also sewed the collar, the collar stand, and started attaching hem facings.

5. Spent a lot of time matching the stripes, the solid pocket, and then there’s a mini top pocket.

4. While I prep my fabric, here is one of the patterns I will be using: Doe and Deer Fougere. I first made this overshirt 2 ish years ago, made a toile and never made a real one. I wear the toile all the time though!
