Some in progress pics of this wallet. This was only my second time stitching by hand so I am pretty proud of the results. #leathercraft

Waiting on a specific width of twill tape for straps on my vest so what if I just started another project? #pinyonpants

I started on my partner’s Valentine’s Day present (may have been too ambitious, second time working with leather).

12. So on shirt number 2, #ME2104 (which is more stripe dominated tuxedo with a solid bib), this is what that self drafted placket looks like on the striped sleeve.

11. The day before, I worked on changing the sleeves on one of the patterns #ME2104. Drafted a placket based on the the Making and Candor blog.

10. Thread from Wawak arrived, alongside some other goodies. My orders get to me within 24 hours usually, love that they seem to have warehouses on both coasts.

9. Intermission, I ran out of thread. Then waffled on a WAWAK order until it was holding up 4 projects.

Organizing my fabric, baby g crawled into one of the piles. All of these fabrics went through the wash and still have their raw edges zz’d into a mobius strip. #sewing #cat #orangecat

7. Sleeve plackets on these three part sleeve.

6. I did all that work matching the pattern, to discover that I hated how the top most pocket in the pocket stack looks. Removed. Also sewed the collar, the collar stand, and started attaching hem facings.

5. Spent a lot of time matching the stripes, the solid pocket, and then there’s a mini top pocket.

4. While I prep my fabric, here is one of the patterns I will be using: Doe and Deer Fougere. I first made this overshirt 2 ish years ago, made a toile and never made a real one. I wear the toile all the time though!

3. Here’s what I got. The striped olive and plain olive broadcloth fabrics are what I will be working with for my two shirts. The black and white checkered number will be patches on a chore coat, possibly. The plain white is light weight tight weave that I will use for pocketing on future projects.

2. The book of buttons, half of them can’t be located anyways so keeping expectations low.

Two shirts in tandem, from start to finish.

1. Fabric shopping at a dead stock fabric store. I usually get overwhelmed in here from having too many options and spend an hour and a half picking out 4-5 fabrics.

Cat that snubbed me at Predjama Castle.

Hard to not take this personally, I’m very popular with cats.

My dog gets compliments from strangers on her training that she doesn’t deserve, imo. Like she needs two leashes, as per trainer recommendation, because she is such a flight risk. I don’t think you would say nice things about my manners if you saw me walking around with two ankle monitors.

I started sewing this blazer the Sunday before Election Day. It stopped being an enjoyable project like 20 sleeps ago.

I don’t know if this is the “right” way to repair something waterproof but it looks halfway decent at least.

I thrifted this poncho maybe 7 years back so I am also downgrading it from “waterproof” to “water resistant”.
