As an atheist I'm delighted that the new Pope favours the continuity of Francis. I'm gladdened that his will represent real Christianity and stand up for the poor, the oppressed and our planet. May he be blessed by his God. He'll need it.

The highest paid director at Barclays Bank was paid £10,533,000 last year. Another undisclosed banker was paid £14 million. This bank has no ethics. They fund the fossil fuel industry, the arms industry & made use of tax havens to avoid 2 billion in tax in 2022. Just don't bank with them. 🌍

Am I becoming a grumpy old woman or are other people equally pissed off about all these motor bikes with extra loud exhaust pipes fitted? Surely we have enough noise pollution in London? What are these men trying to prove? (Nurses call them 'Organ donors' apparently because of the speeding.)

As an occasional Air BnB host I used to have guests that were escaping Hong Kong since the Chinese Government took over. They didn't want to return.
I now have my 3rd guest from the USA who feels the same & is trying to work out how she can stay in the UK & never go back to the #USA.

I'd just like to say this again. If you're looking for a film to go to - I absolutely loved #EmiliaPerez. It's a courageous, joyful and original film. And it's so important at this time. Compassion - sheesh the world needs more compassion.
