I once had a miner/client with black lung disease. He was applying for federal benefits but died before they were awarded. It was a horrible disease.

And how can the NYT have as its lead story garbage about Santos and not the millions of marchers protesting Trump. Santos is nothing but a sad footnote.

I live in Portland. We are proud of ourselves. We also take the threats of the Trump administration, the lies, distortions, and misinformation seriously. We are appalled not only by ICE but by the R's attempts to steal health care from millions and give the take to the rich.

A reprise of the 1990’s “super-predator” label for inner-city juveniles. A theory unsupported by facts and ultimately debunked. It was, however, one of the drivers, along with the equally bogus “war on drugs” that led to mass incarceration and untold damage to the black community.

How can anyone ever trust Trump? How many times does he have to be caught in bold faced lies before there is a consequence. She feels cheated, the rest of us feel angry and at the same time ashamed of what America has become and what our fellow citizens seem happy to tolerate of not embrace.
