War with itself*

At times I'm thankful the game doesn't immediately respawn enemies when you leave and re-enter a screen but in situations like these it would be very handy to have that instead

It's kind of at war itself sometimes, this game

A few times I've gone into a room with enemies and killed them then wondered huh a dead end and figured I need some power up and now I realized that maybe some of these rooms except me to pogo jump off the enemies to reach places I can't reach normally, that's fucked up

Every 5 minutes this game either makes me go 'Woah this place is huge' or 'fucking hell this place is too big' or it amazes me with some kind of a crazy design thing it does or bores me with repeating the same obstacle 5 times

What is this game

I feel it's more likely people will dismiss an older version of a game in favor of a newer one even if there are some issues with it, only a specific niche cares about and notices something like a broken skybox texture in DMC HD or something

I typo'd 3-year old but my native language is more advanced than English so it doesn't actually matter

The topic of whether a game should exist or be accessible at all because of its quality or content is prevalent right now, so if you ever feel like something shouldn't exist at all because it bothers you, you should only play games for 3 years old for now I guess.

Burning the PCB when trying to fix the sticks was my own fault but it was the first time I ever had to fix any sticks in the first place. It's ridiculous. I've taken a lot of controllers through way more playtime and their sticks don't drift.

I liked that feature until I found out one of the biggest gaming companies keeps manufacturing their fancy controllers with even worse sticks than before and now I couldn't care less.

Yes, I am that butthurt.

It's a complex, critically praised, but otherwise unremarkable book, released to no controversy and no backlash. No bookstores refused to sell it, and it even got translated from its original Spanish in to English.

If it were a video game every major platform would refuse to sell it.

The book deals with complicated topics - objectification of others, systemic misogyny, the meat industry, the way we reduce other people to their utility in our lives, the way that we have to opt-in to empathy, the way modern life separates us from the horrors our lives necessitate, etc.

Marcos (a vegan) begrudgingly works for a slaughter house of special meat (which we see the process of making up close). He's gifted a breeding-age woman as part of a business transaction, and even though she cannot speak (special meat is not educated at all) he starts a relationship with her.
