The scramble for the next generation of honest leaders is on. As the Bildad Mwaganu #Kaggia play hits the theatre, we must ask the very topical question: What would Kenya be, if our leaders were not corrupt?

@netflix.com “Perfect Neighbor” is a must watch. Susan Lorincz’s killing of Ajike Owens exposes Florida stand-your-ground law. It also had me screaming, where are the community organisers? Without civic organising, hate crimes flourish, legal systems remain directionless.
Honor AJ, repeal the law.

One day, I will gather former members and staff to publish this book. My first job ever was to write a popular history of The African Association of Literacy and Adult Education (AALAE) in 1991. The organisation closed before it got published. Anyone still have a floppy disk reader?

Kenya’s State House and Vigilance House appeared misaligned this week. The rise in deaths in police custody and limited progress in the Baby Pendo case raise doubts about the justice system’s commitment to public safety.
