We've been down this road a few times; it escalates from here.

I'll definitely acknowledge that dynamic exists, but the "nutty views" here seem to be "Trans rights are human rights," "Palestinians don't deserve to be exterminated like animals," and "the stock market doing well doesn't make my bills go down or my pay go up"

Basically all of his short stories are straight fire.

I personally found that I hit kind of a 'saturation point' with his novels where after I read like a dozen or so I just couldn't enjoy more of his stuff nearly as much - that's not exactly a critique, mind you, just a phenomenon.

Will, from the perspective of the sort of person who posts this meme, "trivializing tolerance" is when people use this kind of rhetoric to get elected and then immediately turn around use the power thus afforded to subject other peoples to violence in the name of securing our national interests.

That is a REAL issue, and it can also a human health issue if the screw-fly population gets large enough - that does not at all justify it being used as a bludgeon against US bound migrants.

The issue is that the sterile screw worm border in panama got less effective due to cattle being smuggled across that border by migrants, which is a real issue, but not a US border control issue and its current effect on the US price of beef is extremely debatable.

But the point (there is a point) is, people fetishise the idea over the hard work of plotting and character development and research and internal consistency and just writing the fucker, because the Idea is the sparkly magic bit.

And this is what makes them put value in the AI prompt.

suburbs are actually a naturally occurring phenomenon driven solely by the needs of the everyman. and nothing else

Stephen I do not believe you have lead this particular thought to the correct place, you may wish to try again.

What if... Demand... For housing... Had something to do with... The price... Of housing?
November 19, 2025 at 2:38 AM
So "Nuzzi wanted it" isn't the fucking narrative to come away with, leave that thought to your goddamn self.
November 19, 2025 at 1:33 AM
Which in turn gives rise to a whole fucking ecosystem of old gross assholes fucking and discarded hundreds, thousands, maybe millions of young women or girls that don't end up rich and famous like Nuzzi and probably weren't nearly as willing

Abuse of power to extract sexual favors does not require an unwilling victim - this whole scenario is an abuse of power regardless, because it relies on the tacit assumption that the sort of privilege RFK or Olberman have can be exchanged for young lady pussy.
November 19, 2025 at 1:31 AM
That's decently close, so why then, in response to an article that has spent almost 50% of its wordcount illustrating why this women's behavior is deeply unethical and concerning, are we responding by saying "No you don't get it she's a narcissistic bitch who just really wanted that old guy dick?"
November 19, 2025 at 1:24 AM
Hey, could you please tell me what point you think I am trying to make?
November 19, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Manipulative to what end? Who is manipulating who, for what purpose?

Like are you guarding against the wild genderless barbarians from the northern wilderness whose breastless forms bring utter dicklessness?

What's the projected end-game in your mind here?
November 19, 2025 at 12:58 AM
You didn't "tell me why" though.

You told me that you think Nuzzi's a piece of shit with bad taste in men. This is not in dispute.

You're shadowboxing here; yelling past me and the author of this article about points nobody is making - so yeah, I'm going to tell you you're off target.
November 18, 2025 at 11:24 PM
Hey thanks for making my point for me by dodging the question!

Look how easy it becomes to ignore the abuse enabled by patriarchal power structures when you focus on only one person in a pair of people acting like assholes!

Awesome, now go (re)read the fucking article and form a real opinion
November 18, 2025 at 9:58 PM
Here's an exercise for you -

Is this story a story about a journalist using her vagina for a story she couldn't have gotten otherwise, a story about a powerful man using his power to get his dick wet, or both, and of these, which is an injustice?
November 18, 2025 at 8:53 PM
I think it's valid to use that same logic to discuss what we do and don't understand about animal brains - from some perspectives, we know next to nothing, from others, we know a lot.
November 18, 2025 at 12:09 AM
I know about how memory is addressed and loaded into CPU registers, I know about BIOS and operating systems, etc.

I don't know how electricity is used to make logical gates.

It is accurate to say I have no idea how a computer works.

It's also true to say I have a decent understanding of the same.

Like it's literally the same thinking in that show, Person of Interest, like all they have to do is make a thing that evolves and it'll figure it out - it's not ignorance, it's an absolutely wild degree of arrogance and stupidity.
November 17, 2025 at 7:00 PM
They don't though - like maybe Elon or Altman does, but honestly I think they probably do too.

They just think that if we slam enough things that are vaguely brain-ish in the ontology of how they exchange information together they'll get the computer to solve the problem for them.
