Oh it’s a good one. Sort of The Last Pre-Crisis Batman story, in the vein of Conway & Newton’s Detective #526 (and prefiguring Knightfall and others) - all Batman’s bad guys escape and strike at once. But framed as a rebirth rather than a retrospective the way Superman #400 is. Highly recommended!

Whereas, I gather, in a Dredd story, even when he’s doing something unambiguously good like “stopping Halloween monsters from killing everyone in the city,” when all is said and done he’s still perpetuating this terrible dystopian regime he represents.

Yeah, that sort of thing is also a function of Punisher stories, I suppose. But even a Punisher story that emphasizes it’s wrong to go around shooting bad guys still goes, “At least this bad guy is off the street.” It’s the same basic end goal of a Daredevil story arrived at in a more brutal way.

Sound quality is a bit regrettable in places due to a recording issue. YOU try getting a good connection in a city controlled by the Sisters of Death!
