This week was not the first time Bishop Mariann E. Budde has encountered Trump. She witnessed his apathetic response to the peaceful protests following George Floyd’s murder. She was livid when he tear gassed civilians then used her church and a bible for a photo app. She knew how unqualified he is.

Moving pretty quickly from “immigration enforcement” to just no-excuse-needed harassment of anyone not white. Trump is no doubt waiting eagerly for such provocations to result in mass protests, or any kind of violent response, which will then be his pretext to impose even more draconian measures.
