This was me on Wednesday. I've also not (knowingly) had covid.

My friends who live in a basement flat in London carried their couch up the (external) stairs to the footpath to give away.
By the time they'd gone down and returned with the cushions, the couch had gone! No one in sight. They called out to come & get the cushions and left them on the footpath 😁

My mother volunteered at our local hospice shop for years. She said that, too often, newly arrived donations would immediately be taken to the skip at the back of the shop - dirty, broken, mouldy crap.

I still have my essays from my BA - over 30 years ago. Mostly handwritten, a few typed. Every now and then I think about tossing them, then I'll start reading one and change my mind.

I enjoyed looking at your Japan photos on Instagram. We were there for a week recently, our third visit since 2019. Such a fascinating place.

We just flew business class to the UK. I don't usually drink on flights, so the booze was not the attraction. Being able to lie flat and sleep was wonderful. Plus using the lounge during stopovers - a shower and a change of clothes does wonders.
