No matter how hard I try to prove them otherwise. Or be thrown into a mental hospital by others in hopes of me ‘getting better’, which just puts me back at the start. Might as well be the one to pick the place myself.” The other huffed, brows furrowing as their grip tightened around. “So what?” Dream froze, sitting up and unfurling on the other to look at the elder god more pointedly. The destroyer took it as a cue. “So the multiverse would look at you and call you a freak. Maybe even deem you a villain like us, that shouldn’t stop you from still trying to help others out. Guard positivity in your own way. If people are trying to box you up for your opinions over your actions then they aren’t worth it in my opinion. Just kill them off and move on. Dodge the idiots trying to lock you up and go about your day, let them know you won’t be affected by their thoughts of you. If someone you know is pulling shit like that then they weren’t your friend to begin with, they were friends with your persona they found to be easily digestible.” Something about those words made Dream feel light headed. Digging right into their core somewhere and settling in deep.

His sight blanked out as hands touch along the harsh irritated line along his waist where the belt had cut into him. The destroyer grunting under him something akin to a whirring computer fan trying to load some of his games. Golden claws trailing across the mark till going to resting gently at the front of his stomach thumbing them gently. Their brain didn’t even hesitate to return in kind with a roll to their hips, own hands going to cup at Error’s chest leaning down slightly. They moaned slightly looking to the glitch fretfully. “Error! Sensitive right there. Please, careful.” Everything in him wanted to just dip down further and enact on the arousal, especially as his sight came back to the sight of the destroyer with lidded sockets and mouth agape dazedly looking to the other where his hands were for a tad too long before dumbly nodding. Tearing their sockets away from the bare torso to Dream’s skull again. “Ah, right. I. Uhm-” They shook their skull, but made no move to push their hands away. In fact the other seemed to press in a little, earning another flustered groan out of them. “Right, sorry. Just, not used to this. Much less seeing someone so full with souls. Does a, bit of a number to my brain seeing so many stupid anomalies just out of my skull like that I’ll be honest. Give, give me a moment.” The glitch’s hands trailed all over grazing faint trails of scratches with their clawtips. Going right over to the underside of the guardian’s gurgling stomach before gripping tightly. The motion made the god arch back with a shout. Need pressing into the other’s and rubbing slightly adding to the sensations.

I can’t read it well but I see you wrote it out like a normal letter with a sign off.” They froze, shying further into themself by pulling up their legs close. “I, can’t really just brush this off and say I’m Dream to you, can I? Pretend I was feeling ill or something” The other snorted, looking to the ceiling a moment with an expression and taste they couldn’t dare try to figure out. “Not really no, I think you’ve established well enough that you aren’t for awhile now.” The other stayed silent, looking to the floor. He’d been called many things, sure, and accepted them all in stride. If he was Dream then that’s who he was. Dressing up to hang out with friends and addressing his brother in the middle of a fight poised to action. If they called out for the guardian he was there bow in hand and defenses raised in alert as they reached out for those in need of them. If he was a god then even if he didn’t wish for it he’d put on that damn fancy garb with his sibling and step out onto the festival podium, speech written out in hand. If he was the secret harlot who could run anyone dry in mere moments with a look and the right bit of pointed energy released then he’d damn well play his part dressing up in all of those feathers and jewels as he ushered the other away to rest. Giving quiet promises he’ll feed them both well for months. They, didn’t ever try to wander outside that box. Walk around in the open hardly ever without his assortment of masks and roles handed off to them. This had been the first time in a, embarrassingly long time he’s misjudged a situation, much less talked to another. They felt as lost as the first time the glitching one had asked them the question.

Gametime with friends got shot w/ piss poor internet so I broke in the new apple pencil by working on the chp.4 fic scene! It's turning out rrly well so far, just need to moove around the fantasy stuff a lil.
Digital sketch color codded for layers, Dream's finally getting into overstimulation territory here letting his fantasies overcome him. The original traditional sketch, Where I wasn't originally going to have the fantasy senarios shown at all but I was having trouble figuring out a bedframe design/set up so when deciding to make this digital I swapped it out. I think it was definetly the right call in the end.

Wait a minute, he was, curious? About him? Puffing his cheekbones the god tried to relax best he can, deciding to grab another one of the souls looking to the walls across the way over the bed. It wasn’t like there was much else they could do right now, and the only one watching only seemed to be actively encouraging the behavior that Dream wasn’t entirely sure he could honestly reasonably stop by now. Not without a hefty fight with his own damn body, which isn’t what he exactly wanted. Just, let his mind wander the destroyer said right? He could do that, sure. He had years of practice for that. It wasn’t like he was alone after all, it’d be ok… As the slight falling sensation of slipping out indicated to him he'd done as asked, the god tapped his foot. What was he doing, really? How in the fuck was he going to cover up agreeing to work with Error, of all people? All because what, he wanted some company after being so foolish and mistaking that Blue was leaving him for an indiscriminate amount of time? Why did the thought of his friend leaving him hurt so much. Stars why did Error leaving freak them out so much? He understood that a part of it was from his misconceptions of the note but it still felt stronger than it should have been for someone they barely knew. Enough to practically agree to deal that definitely was going to go against his teams ideology and get him in major trouble with the other two he’s sure. Dream paused, perusing through his thoughts and feelings a little more thoroughly. Even trying to double check himself with furrowed brows. No, that- The god looked down at his little mental checklist and notebook. Looking at how the stuff on it was labeled clear as day despite how many times he checked. He really was being too selfish.

Art of Walrus's normal form and his two best buddies, One a Dreamswap Dream who goes by cubes (orphan was a source nickname), and one who goes by Razor/Epic cus he's our first normal Epic. You can actually see how sometimes our handwriting and drawing style changes depending on who fronts. Razor went rrly heavy on the shading and is more angular, Cubes is very soft unlike their name, and Walrus's handwriting is barely legible. XD A drawing of Rus's brother when he first apeared in sys! He now goes by Luga rather than Chai(his source nickname) to match with Rus.A sweet boy who really cares for his brother, honestly even with their source alone these two have the best sibling dynamic honestly. The other doodle is what happens when Rus is 'low' on positivity, which usually leads to his much bigger form. He gets bad vertigo and becomes very hungry. His wings often go really small to compensate as well. Again we have Luga before he chose his new insys name. This one is fully lined but only partially colored. It also shows off his weapon which is an axe!

Think I'll finish this but it may take a bit. So have the WIP based off the chp. I just dropped!
Top half while hard to tell is meant to be Dream sans holding a kindness soul they had been actively maiming. Lingering negativity running through them as well as a spike in LV, showing in their now long claws and pointed overgrown teeth. Purple eyelights look down at, what would've been Error, but all I've drawn is a sketchy bust. this scene was initally meant for chp. 16, before he changed into an outfit as Error had stepped out. Broken blue strings on his wrist also prevalent of that. I moved it to chapter 17 as it felt like I was cramming the moment and making the pacing feel weird because of it.

Silence settled for a long while as the destroyer didn’t dare to look at the other. He knew what he said was a hard pill to swallow for the guardian, but it had to be put out there. He didn’t know the full picture, but considering the medical equipment and Dream mentioning he had to be asleep for so long from having to recover from more transfusions than what was written in the medical notes…Error could guess the other was in an extremely critical state. It wasn’t a case of just the positivity god trying to set aside their issues, it was much more than that. It was at a point that he’s sure if the creator’s hadn’t already been working behind the scenes for a few years now and requested for Error’s help the multiverse as a whole would’ve been having fallout by now by the lack of care on the naive god. It hadn’t even been half a thousand years yet either! Dream should be figuring out diplomatic strategies and reaching out to the current gods of the multiverse to find who’s going to be his long term allies. He shouldn’t be having to figure out food is a good thing to have consistently, shouldn’t be learning how to write more than just his own name and a handful of words. He should’ve learned that within the first fifty years with Ink. He shouldn’t be with the damn protector in the first place if this was the result. …His thoughts were getting the better of him again, he needed to go.

I can’t believe you even shrugged that off, especially…the drawings on the walls.” Error filed away the concerning tid bit for later and chose to chuckle instead, rolling to their side a moment to look at the pile of souls he had brought out. “You have to remember who’re your talking to and who I am usually around guardian. Most my company is neutral party at *best*, exception being Blue. You’re room is only surprising to me by the fact that it is *yours* and not another I know. I won’t sugar coat it like your team will, it can very easily drive you past your breaking point and then some. There is a reason you don’t see Fighters that aren’t outcodes. You just got to sink or swim in hopes it’ll work with you. If what your saying is true about it being soul ingrained then you probably have less immunity to resisting it as well.” Error feels around, grazing against a soul slightly damp with a wide grin. He pulls the kindness soul back to him and bonks it on the others skull. “Give you an ultimatum. *I* can just leave here now and pretend your breakdown never happened."

Dream flushed bright waving their hands. “I, I mean, like you said you’re the one with experience! Red mentioned that during my healing process I’d have to…eventually. But, I’m not my brother. I don’t even know where I would begin to start doing something like that for the good of the multiverse, much less my designation. Can I even do both? Can you even hurt others for good? It’s just, I don’t even know anymore Error.” Rubbing at their sockets, Dream fell back into the bed with a tired groan. It was clear to the glitch that the other had been thinking of this quite a bit. The other sighed.

Sucking in a breath through his teeth he winced, going closer to the prepped IV bag with a small medical cart and vitals machine that hadn’t originally been in the room before. It was tucked off to the side next to the nightstand, clear labels and notes indicating what everything thing did and how often stuff should be done all in red sharpie. *That* was why Blue was off with Red. He knew that handwriting well enough anywhere. Fuck, he knew it looked bad but he didn’t think it was so awful Dream needed all this. Reading some of the instructions he can see the transfusion was set up to be used in a few days. Glancing down to the nightstand, more notes covered the desk. A pill counter similar to Error’s own with a few of the slots emptied, one of several Blue’s water bottles next to the clock with a note saying it needed to be drank for when Dream woke up in the Swap’s handwriting. Above it looked like some sheets of physical therapy exercises and some list of what all the god should take and when. There also seemed to be a note saying Blue was going to be off AU a few days while Dream recovered, though it was hard to read torn in two with holes along the edges.

Blue eyed him back, noticing something flutter in Red’s own code that shouldn’t be there. Too unstable, ethereal. He, recognized that type of code. Blue narrowed his sockets at the other, seeing Red stilling slightly. Blue spoke lowly. “Red, what did you do while we were on break?” As the words left him, the Swap could see a flash of fuchsia that didn’t bode well to Blue in the slightest. He knew the other understood his Spanish well enough when he spoke it a bit more slowly and clearly, so he knew Red couldn’t just play dumb under his gaze. His friend gulped, wringing his hands. Oh he definitely pulled something while he wasn’t looking, oh by the stars- “Ya agreed it’d be fine if I went on my own trying somethin’ stupid. Focus on Dream first, whatever he’s got goin’ on right now is more prevalent. He may not be willing to tell us about it if he calms down on their own first.” Blue scrunched their face skeptically at the other, but sighed mumbling in agreement as the voices focusing in swarmed about. The creators reassuring them both that that was indeed the better move right now. As much as Blue hated to admit it, Red was probably right about Dream. He quickly pointed with his free hand to the Fell to stop his buddy in his tracks before he just ran off.

The sneak peak for chapter 12 reads: Blue got closer, seemingly mortified by the gods words as he mumbled soft comforts besides Dream. However, begrudgingly now with his friend out the way, his body forced the other to focus back on the hurt doctor once more. His pulse rate rising the longer he stared. That intense feeling coming back stronger than ever in a flash. It felt similar to the newer sensations that he’d been told to acknowledge earlier but on an entire other level than the short bursts of LV. Wait, the bursts of LV weren’t there like before, instead it was only the- Something clicked as Red turned back around and got closer, hyper aware of how the mortal’s breathing was more shallow and posture became hunched. Dream panickedly dug his finger bones into the sides of the chair. Now that his brain could think much more clearly, he was able to decently taste the emotions tied to the odd hunger and restless energy lingering on him. He was excited. Excited for a challenge.

The entire thing rocking just high enough to make Dream’s sockets wince at how the bright of daylight was, ending up making his skull ache so terribly it felt hard to keep them open. He took a breath, closing his sockets moment. Right, he had the time now. Forced to have it by his own actions. No one would ever consider him a hero like this, barely held together by sheer willpower and LV he had refused to acknowledge for centuries. So thin he made a physician come over their time off to his place. Who knows when he’ll be able to go back into the multiverse helping and protecting like he had been, going back to as things were. Could he even go back? With how much of all he’s done to themself could really be fixed at this point? He griped the box in his palms, he definitely couldn’t entirely go back to normal. His ignorance of LV proved him that much. Red said it himself, if he truly wanted to heal himself up proper down the line he’d have to eventually...at least do harm. To, to kill like his brother had. Lest he’d end up eventually harming himself even more, going right back to square one like he was in right now. Dream was unsure if his body could handle more of that. However, would he even be considered a guardian then? If he ended up killing others for his own selfish reasons? What… What made him a guardian? What, what even made them well, him, aside from his role anyways? The god couldn’t come up with an answer, not like in the past when his thoughts trickled down like this into a swirling mess. Not anything good, at least.
