i’m sad to end the semester with my 7th grade animation students… so i’ll have to console myself with leading an animation club next semester 😅 here’s a little abstract gif i made a while ago- perhaps it’s time to try another.

(and of course i had to make one too!) this is my tribute to snacks that i miss from the philly area.

my 6th graders just completed their tiny food sculptures made from polymer clay and found materials. the best part of this project is watching students reverse engineer how to achieve different shapes, colors, and textures. each student also writes a story to describe the significance of their food.

i remember thinking perspective drawing was both illuminating and tedious as a student... as a teacher, i'm trying to mix it up. my high school drawing students are applying their study of perspective to choose a special view of our school, then add surreal elements to make it their own! #arted
