Actually looks like their spools now I look, they’ve always made filament for other people IIRC

So Colorfabb then?

literally the only thing missing for me so far in Plasticity seems to be thread generation, so I might still have to keep Fusion in my workflow for that alone. Although I am tempted to just make myself a library of standard threads exported to stp that I can use to further reduce my reliance on it

360 is ok but I just can’t get on with it, I don’t need the parametric design features and as I’m only a hoodies I just activate the free plan. But Plasticity seems to be worth investing in, much more what I’m looking for

I have still used 123D up until now as it does 95% of what I need and I can work much quicker in it. But the increasing instability and the lack of performance on more complex models has pushed me over the edge

Those light and plug switches also give me heavy 70’s vibes

Maybe it’s time for Jo to buy a factory in China, come up with an entry level design and source “good enough” parts…
😁

heading down the road early Saturday morning, the added advantage being that I get to visit my family in my old home town 👌

Grrr, I loved my Evoque ….. right up until the point the steering rack collapsed a couple months out of warranty 😡

Insides are usually miles of real world thankfully 😃

JLR have a decent track record of concept to real world ever since the Evoque

The move away from all printed parts should’ve helped but their way of manufacturing is never gonna scale fast and the price point just adds to that, shame really.
December 4, 2024 at 12:50 PM
I think they more and more do get concepts to be very close to release look and feel, especially in the price segment they’re aiming this at. IMHO the side profile is great looking, I don’t like the front (most likely to be changed for production anyway) and the back is ok

I did think it was the dawn of a new era when it first landed but the price has crept up and it’s ended up looking like a half hearted attempt at entry level and overtaken by cheaper machines that perform great
