On Nov 3, 2022, Erfan Zamani was shot at close range with pellet bullets by plainclothes security forces.
Eyewitnesses stated that he might have survived if he had been taken to the hospital sooner, but the officers prevented people from helping him.

October 27th marks the 3rd anniversary of Sarina Sa’edi’s burial —a young girl who was killed by security forces’ batons. But like so many others, her death was officially declared a suicide, and to hide the truth, her grieving family was pressured, detained, and even imprisoned.

The Islamic Republic continues to systematically violate the right to life by executing its own citizens for non-violent offences such as transporting drugs. So far this year, over 575 alleged drug offenders have been executed, often after deeply flawed trials.

According to the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center, the Islamic Republic has carried out at least 1,211 executions in Iran since the beginning of 2025, including 111 executions in the first 15 days of October alone.
