That's not fair, one of the men of Gondor decided to take the ring for himself and use its power to protect everyone which totally would have worked if he hadn't had a totally random orc accident you can't possibly have expected him to anticipate
Of course, the men of Gondor were unable to protect Middle-Earth, and the threat of Sauron was only stopped when hobbits and men teamed up with those of other races and cultures, and worked together for the betterment of all.

Been a busy stretch of good ministry & rewarding contacts, but today I'm home facing a backlog of prep & I'm tired inside. I'm watching my conservative Christian culture curdle into a syncretistic cultural movement that only mimics parts of the Gospel & I feel like I'm trying to spoon out the ocean
