My story about Graham Mackay on the front page of Friday’s Ross-shire Journal.

Graham, who was diagnosed with MS in June, is on a mission to raise £55k for potentially life-saving treatment in Mexico.

It was great getting to chat with Graham - like many people, I am rooting for him!

Here’s a picture from a few weeks ago with @hectormackenzie.bsky.social when one of our lovely readers came in to the office to collect their bottle of whisky, as the winner of our weekly Glenmorangie-sponsored crossword!

Getting to meet some of our readers is my favourite part of the week :)

October saw four suicides take place in the Highlands over just eight days — proving that Cromarty-based charity James Support Group is needed now more than ever.

But despite demand growing for the charity’s services, funding has been getting thinner, pushing the group into a funding crisis.

I loved working with Neil, he had such a lovely presence in the newsroom, with his daft jokes and copies of The Herald.
Everything about him reminded me so much of Argyle and Wester Ross. He is missed by many of us.

Can't say that we didn't see this one coming, but it's still sad that it's come to this.
