Not sure why I only made the connection just now, but this guy is bookending his career as a wife guy, which is even better when you consider that it was a bad thing on Married With Children and a good thing on Shrinking

MLS fined Inter Miami’s Sergio Busquets for his flop against the Chicago Fire on Tuesday. It’s good that the league is taking action but it would’ve done no good if Lionel Messi had scored on the free kick that was given by the ref in the 24th minute. #cf97 #VamosFire

Hosting priority for the MLS Open Cup is based on record and not seed; given the disparity between the Eastern and Western conferences as well as the ongoing Bears regular season, the Fire have the chance to do the funniest thing ever.

Dare to dream; Cup at the Geek

I'm honestly shocked Guti is up there even though I love the kid; he hasn't appeared to be *that* good. I need @thotze.bsky.social and the MiR crew's opinion on this

It is wild that the current leaders in the Wooden Spoon race have not been eliminated from playoffs, but 4 teams in the Eastern Conference have been.

1. Draws need to be 1.5 points each or have a penalty shootout for an extra point like MLS Next. Every game should have three points distributed regardless.

2. VAR has 30 seconds to make their case. Clear and obvious doesn't take 5 minutes, it's an oxymoron. (This one isn't that hot TBH)
Everybody should absolutely view this as an invitation to drop your spiciest soccer takes.
lol I’m gonna need bluesky’s biggest soccer post ever to balance out all the politics engagement im burying myself under.

i will be furious for the rest of my life at the politicians who spent 4 years (correctly) yelling about what a terrible threat trump posed and then looked at january 6 and said "let's move past this quick as possible and hope he leaves public life on his own so we can do an infrastructure bill"

If Trump wins, there will be efforts to blame Russian interference or the Harris campaign or Biden, etc. That's all fair. But we need to be clear eyed that a huge swath of America likes what Trump is selling. Transphobia. Mass deportation. That's what he ran on. And here we are.

As @jvl.bsky.social pointed out, Harris ran a smart campaign. She was a solid candidate. Trump ran a disastrous campaign and is in clear decline. This was a clear choice. No matter who wins, half of voters either chose bigotry and authoritarianism, or had no problem with it. And that’s hard to take.
