I picnicked w/ my grandma & we had tea, sandwiches, scones, & I left her some milk as is traditional in Scottish ancestor veneration
I also brought her some flowers, sea shells, sea glass, rocks that I've tumbled recently, cleared her grave with a heather besom, & burned some saining herbs for her

it's been non-stop humpback whales & dolphins lately despite how early in the season we are & there's plenty of food even though our upwelling is just getting started

it's wild how comfortable coyotes can be in suburban sprawl & there are so many people that let their pets free roam like we don't have coyotes, mountain lions, bobcats, hawks, & eagles absolutely everywhere! no wonder my neighborhood has missing pet signs on so many of the telephone poles

migration season has been revving up where I am, the swallows started arriving a couple weeks ago & the first of the pigeon guillemots showed up along the coast this past week! I love hearing the guillemots & seeing their bright orange feet!

it has been wild moving from a tiny state that has the highest density of osprey in the world to a city that has a single mater pair, but it has given me a deeper appreciate & fondness for a bird I already loved so much

february is normally a slow time for baleen whale activity but the second half of the month was busy with dolphin activity & the non-migratory humpbacks really bridged the gap in the gray whales migration

I've been seeing more & more healthcare specialists lately (psychiatrists, podiatrists, rheumatologists, etc), getting blood draws, x-rays, ultrasounds (even of my hands?!), & new meds
now it feels like after all this work to keep my body alive, the fed are going to 🔪 me

I've been seeing more & more healthcare specialists lately (psychiatrists, podiatrists, rheumatologists, etc), getting blood draws, x-rays, ultrasounds (even of my hands?!), & new meds
