It is a big deal when one uses slurs and you generalizing that everyone thinks one slur used against your community is no big deal is also a lie. Many people feel it is wrong and when I hear any slurs towards any group I speak out. /2

He likely didn’t know, but in all honesty if one is going to use someone else’s ethnicity in their song or art etc. they should maybe do a quick search.

We can keep trying to educate people on different cultures and ethnicities or with search engines and AI people could maybe do a quick check prior to using a ethnic group in their art.

For myself and many Inuit people it has always been a slur, but officially it became one in the 80s
