Yes, masterful story telling. I read that Robert Shaw edited the longer version down to just its essence. But he still conveyed so much.

Yeah, same. If you bring the sass you def gotta bring the surprise! These little guys are mostly black like the tree trunks and mixed with some white spots. Super adorable.

Thank you so much, Niji.
I’m really glad it resonated with you. Your words mean a lot. I’m grateful it sparked that feeling.

😂 Did not see that coming 😂 Battle of the winds! 💨
We have fox squirrels where I live. Sometimes on my run I’ll see their messy picnic tables. They’re tree stumps with ground up long leaf pine cones.

Oh, yeah, I see! A raven above the text, wings extend beyond the worn wood. Rain falls through a misty, moonlit night. In the background, a narrow path winds through a shadowy forest toward the distant silhouette of a ruined castle. And let’s put in a John Grimshaw painting over a stone fireplace. 🌙

It might be helpful to use word or theme. I mean, I know there’s no bluesky police but we don’t always know the rules for different prompts and it can be useful, especially for people new to the prompt.
Yeah, the definition helps. I didn’t know what the word meant and it saves having to look it up

That’s a good tip, but I’ve always thought of the prompt as a theme. So I don’t focus on using the word so much as letting it be the inspiration. Especially in haiku where the word can be a whole line 😂
