Ernest Shackleton was a polar explorer in the early 20th century. His Endurance expedition is considered to be one of the most extraordinary in maritime history. I read a bunch of his books.

Yeah, that’s the song I was thinking of until my brain flicked to Shackleton 😂

Yay, Tré!! You’ll do great, I know! If you don’t want to carve, you can use an exact-o knife to cut the pumpkin skin then peel it, like an etching. It’s easier than carving. I did this one a decade ago. 🎃 🍂

On my running trail in a longleaf pine forest, I came across fox squirrels’ picnic tables. Tree stumps topped with neat piles of cone shavings. Seeds eaten where the view is clear, the table flat, and nothing gets lost among the needles. Friggin adorable.

Thank you 🙏 I didn’t come up with it. I saw a pic online and copied it. The trick is finding a white pumpkin that’ll fit nicely in an orange one 😀 My daughter did this one last year 😊
