That was not the sole reason or the starting point of the diagnosis, but you do have a point in that its use to understand Hitler helped to recover/rebuild German society & prevent another like him in Europe for a long time.

Recognizing the pathology motivating them & why provides a starting point & roadmap for *specific action to overcome them*
Insisting they be labeled as simply “evil”—decrying recognition of pathology as somehow wrong/misguided—removes that, replaces it with “Do something!”
