Oh right I forgot I can post art on here, too! So, have my character designs for @forgedbondspod.bsky.social (plus design notes that I can’t type on here because of the woooonderful character limit)!
Character designs for Forged Bonds featuring Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, Dionysus, Hera, and Zeus. A screenshot of text reading: Aphrodite • There's honestly not as much thought put into her design as the others- I just based her purely on vibes, plus a couple heart motifs thrown in there. Not my most though-out design for sure, but l'm still proud of her nonetheless. • However, I thought she should have an Afro because it's kind of the texture of seafoam! Ares • I HAD to make this man a twink. Twink Ares just makes me giggle. • His armour is based off of Ancient Greek armour! • Okay so the hair in all of these are pretty overthought. Ares has sort of a hair sweep like Zeus's but less extreme, and he has his mother's ponytail. • I gave him eyeliner because more men need to wear eyeliner dammit. Hephaestus • Phae and Di are the only two to wear modern clothes, because they isolated themselves from Olympus, including the way they dress. • I really wanted her hair to be fire so it glows like it! Also she has a bun, a more practical version of her mother's ponytail - but none of Zeus's hair influences. Hairfluences? Hairfluences. • Her eyes are also kind of like fire! Because fire is cool. And also the forge. • Buff woman <333 A screenshot of text reading: Dionysus • His hair is purple because grapes! • His earrings are also supposed to be grapes. • His eyes are green like green grapes. Sensing a theme here? Me neither. • Leopard print Hawaiian shirt because yes and also the leopard is a symbol of Dionysus! • His hair doesn't contain either of his parents' hairfluences because he likes to do his own thing! Hera • Hera's design was, again, based purely on vibes, but her hair definitely influenced the others' designs. Zeus • His hair is shaped like clouds with thunderbolts! His goatee is also a lightning bolt. Honestly, it looks like a cross between Damon Gant and Herlock Sholmes (both from Ace Attorney)- and I quite like that. • His chiton's clasp is, gasp, a lightning bolt! • His eyes are blue, because of the sky. I'm so creative, I know. • I sent a WIP of his design to a friend and they responded… questionably... so I knew I designed him right.

The Welsh told the Saxons this hill was called "pen" (meaning "hill"). The Saxons added their word for hill, "tor," and called it Torpen (hill hill).

Later the Norse added their world for hill. So it became Torpen Haugr (Hill Hill Hill).

Now the English call it Torpenhow Hill (Hill Hill Hill Hill)
