Finished Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson last night. Damn, talk about planting the seeds from the very beginning. After reading so much George Martin over the past few years I can see the appeal of an author that plans their whole story out rather than growing it in the “garden” style Martin does.

Been barreling through the Final Empire series by Brandon Sanderson. I’m really fascinated by his worldbuilding, only 300 pages left to go and I can’t wait to have some of the answers I’ve been waiting on!

Excited to finish planning the finale, and even more excited to work on something new afterwards.
After years of plot threads intersecting, it’ll be nice to start writing with a clean slate!

When I find a fantasy world or series that influences me I tend to latch on to one key detail that I bring back into my work whether I’m aware of it or not.
After reading Asoiaf I found myself drawing up flags and house words for the humans in my world!
