She’s a science reporter in the same sense that RFK is a health expert. She has an angle that gets her attention and doesn’t require depth of knowledge or any sense of nuance. And it gets published in the NYT. She won’t change until she has to.

Is it wrong to be concerned that this guy seems more concerned about how people dress than how well our transportation systems run? Is that crazy?

Absolutely, I’m just pointing out that reminding service members to not do the thing they’ve already sworn not to do isn’t illegal or treasonous. This is a manufactured complaint. It’s their standard operating procedure, mischaracterizing and blowing things out of proportion to energize their base.

Criticism is often a reflection of the person who criticizes, and their own insecurities and fears. They assume (or want to convince you) that the things they think are important are actually important to other people too. And their opinions aren’t about us, or really even our business to handle.

Everyone required to wear six inch stilettos? I’m there.

The problem is not what people are wearing it’s what the airports and airlines are putting them through. Making people wear uncomfortable clothing will definitely not improve their moods.

The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer consider Nazis, white supremacists, klansmen, or pro-slavery advocates as dangers to public health and safety. Despite their centuries-long record of violence.

Seriously. He didn’t try to validate the comment just dismissed it out of hand, giving it exactly the amount of credibility it deserved.
