Deze mensen zijn niet alleen bedrijfsleiders, maar ook vader, moeder, betrokken buren en burgers. Dat beeld dat álle bedrijfsleiders VVD stemmen, klopt niet. Ik zou die ondernemers graag meer in de media willen zien, om het monopolie dat de VVD claimt te hebben te doorbreken.

Also, while this requires more argumentation, this also serves as an example of what is wrong with any ideology that puts “effective” before its name. No historical justice, epistemic considerations, structural & power analyses.

IMO there will often be exceptions to any general normative conclusion, because we don't spell out all the assumptions in our reasoning. There could be other considerations that trump the 'default case', perhaps in the case of the Royals too - but whether it needs to be SO much money...

And extreme wealth is generally opposed based on (1) lack of moral desert and (2) harms to others, which will remain relevant even if Musk were to become so rich because of a vote.

Not sure this Q has an answer. Are we talking about a clean tought experiment, or about the real life case of Musk's 1 trillion package deal? In the second (which is the one that interests me), we have to take into account the morality of the process of how he got to that position too. >

Maar D66+CDA+VVD+JA21 zou ik echt niet “gematigd rechts” noemen… als DY dit zo bedoelt, zegt dit m.i. veel over hoever ze zelf verder opgeschoven is richting uiterst rechts (wat natuurlijk al door velen is benoemd).

Aha. Als dat zo is, dan is er inderdaad sprake v spraakverwarring. Maar als ik online deze term opzoek, zie ik dat ook anderen “centrumrechts” als “gematigd rechts” begrijpen.

Of GLPVDA een eventuele uitgestoken hand van D66 moeten aannemen, staat daar uiteraard los van. Maar het wordt tijd dat er meer weerwerk wordt geboden tegen de arrogantie van de VVD.

overigens ook gewoon schandalig dat de Yesilgöz GL/PVDA uitsluit. Er is geen enkele legitieme grond om die partij resoluut uit te sluiten (zoals we bij PVV en FvD wel hebben omdat die de grondwet niet respecteren), en daardoor ontloopt ze haar politieke verantwoordelijkheid.
