The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers just opened up two California dams. A spokesperson says the flows are 'controlled' and being coordinated with local officials.

Had a great day today. Ignored news and had lunch with an old friend and hosted a neighborhood gathering to introduce everyone to a candidate for town council. I’m trying to keep myself sane by keeping busy. Wish me luck.

Tonight at the movie theater I saw the National Theatre Live production of Vanya with Andrew Scot. It was great and reminded me that I saw Christopher Walken in Uncle Vanya at the ART’s Hasty Pudding Theater in Cambridge, MA in the 1980s. Wow. americanrepertorytheater.org/shows-events...
