I still can't get my head around going from four months of applying for all rental places within our stretched budget to securing this one. The real estate listing didn't even mention the bloody views. We were desperate for any house we'd fit in, and somehow we ended up here.

Today's stupid walk for my stupid mental health: Katoomba Cascades.

The stairs were a bit ambitious for my current physical state, so it might be a while until I return to this one.

Went for a short walk after dinner last night.

Still scared of heights, but I did it. (Never going on the bloody Skyway though).

This is Maple's brother, Ginkgo (cowcat, 10 months) with Sputnik (ginger tabby, 10 years). Ginkus is a chill little guy who wins over everyone, including cranky old ginger tabbies who don't much like other cats at all.

We moved house in September and I've become oddly fond of the glitchy carpet.

One of the best things that happened in 2024 was the arrival of this little friend. One of the kids' mates needed a safe place to stay and with them came a mama cat and litter of newborn kittens needing care. We ended up adopting mama cat and two of her kits. This is Maple and I love her.
