I think its more that if we WANT to believe they're real, practicing and looking for signs/feelings/emotions will help to rationalize it ... and similarly if we want to believe they aren't real, same deal - we'll find ways to identify signs/feelings/emotions to prove that too.

Spiritual person here - raised Catholic, more pantheistic now. I think that faith, like meditation, needs to be practiced to be effective. I’d say to maybe try to find time to pray or meditate daily - talk to God, the Universe, your ancestors … and embrace the emotions you have when you do it.

then we go in & talk to the guy running the counter. He says, "Yeah, there are two in the country, I think. The other one is bigger, but I think we are here because we're connected to the FYE." At which point, I also realized that FYE STILL EXISTED. Suncoast is exactly as it was & it was glorious.

We wandered the first floor, & get to the escalator. Hubs looks up, eyes widen, & he says, "Welp, your mind is about to be blown." I look up, just see the neon 'N' & knew EXACTLY what store was at the top of the escalator. We go running up, get a selfie outside Suncoast, 🧵

Storytime! So my husband & I were in a mall in Dayton, OH in April for the WGI World Percussion competition, which my eldest competes in. We had some downtime & our hotel was across the street from the mall, so we decided to just take a walk to see what this particular mall had in store for us 🧵

Whenever a plane takes off, my mom just mutters "go, baby, go" the entire time til it levels off and it makes her feel safe - maybe it'll help you :) Your bag will be fine, and you're going to have the best time! Enjoy every moment!!
