This is my new lunch. I realize it could qualify as a budget meal depending on where you source the ingredients. Oatmeal on the bottom, made savory with stock instead of water. Frozen broccoli steamed then seared with fish sauce, kimchi on top. There's ground up flax, hemp, chia too.

We have a great screened porch. It's probably the only truly great thing about this vinyl cookie cutter house. The problem is, we haven't taken good care of the upholstery of the furniture, so we haven't sat out there in years. It was truly gross. Yesterday, I decided to fix that.

The update! I don't think NY Delis use Duke's, but seeing as I am from, and live in, the town where Eugenia Duke invented said mayo, it's Duke's. Always.

Around here, this is remembered as "Ham Day". Baby Snuggles, who is with us no more, but lived an amazing 15 happy years, stole an entire slice of grilled ham steak and ate it all up. She then jumped back on my lap and did this at me. Happy Ham Day for all who celebrate!

We have a cafeteria in town called S&S. It's been around over 80 years and it's not healthy food, but it tastes like happiness to me. I'm hoping this Old Timey Bran Muffin Bread is close to their bran muffins. I soaked the raisins in Earl Grey for fun, so who knows?!
