Though I remember watching B7 as a child, it's not been something I've ever wanted to revisit. And, when I did try, I struggled. But listening to you guys got me to give it another go and I just finished the first series. I really enjoyed it this time, and your reviews were a big part of that.

I'm curious as to which effects stood out to you, Rob, as particularly bad? I haven't watched Wrath of Khan for a while, but I don't remember it feeling as dated as some other effects-heavy 80s movies.

As for Susan, that came to nothing. I thought maybe she would be there to keep the Doctor company during the regeneration, but no. Also, why did Mrs. Flood keep breaking the fourth wall during her appearances? No reason - just another of Russell's funny japes, I'm sure.

As for the final twist, I just shrugged (once I realized who it was). I hadn't been spoiled, but I just didn't care. It's just another instance of RTD doing something he finds "hilarious".

Style over sense or substance yet again. I found the first half virtually unwatchable. From the tedious UNIT crew to the treatment of Omega, there are so many things I disliked. While I really didn't care a jot about Poppy's fate, the second half of the ep did actually pull me back in slightly.
