So I would like to apologize. I became so completely overwhelmed by the scale of this destruction that I almost gave up. The antidote to nihilism is to create a strong community that can uphold our core democratic values even when it feels like those very values have been forever erased. (4/4)

The point of this modest group of concerned Utahns is not to single-handedly stop all of what is happening. We simply cannot do that. The point, at least I believe, is to come together as neighbors and citizens during times of immense hardship. (3/4)

The severity of what that deportation meant, and the speed in which it was carried out, and the callousness of the people who did it truly made me believe that this whole thing, the quick erosion of our democracy, was now inevitable and too much for any of us to stop. So, I fell into despair. (2/4)
