Queer + neurodivergent larpwright and urbanist. They/them. 🆓🇵🇸
I mean, that does spill offline. Have seen it arise - not this specific meme but related kinds of dynamics. But its circle of impact is much much smaller there, and easier to avoid.

Fair enough!

Given the sausage fest and the fact that Hans Zimmer isn’t short in acclaim, I’d like to suggest checking out Lisa Gerrard as a frequent collaborator of Zimmer on such titles as Gladiator (for which she won awards) and Dune~

That is rough. So long as there *is* a later, there’s more time on that project. But it can be a tough thing, to give it time, when it is painful to do so.
I hope for you that there is a later & that things can stop feeling quite so awful <3

And when the framing of “worthiness” is too hard, sometimes it feels hurtful to try, especially when neurodivergent… how do we measure such things, after all, by what criteria? It can feel like too big a question.
But, there’s nearly always something that can be done to improve quality of life.

*hugs*
That kind of envisioning can be really hard from dark places.

Sometimes I think of it as quality of life thing instead, if that ever helps. Like, depression is a chronic pain of sorts, and when that’s too much for long it is hard to think around or feel hopeful.

Imagine your greatest wins being ever -present & alive with you in life, a decades-long companion.
Imagine it shaping your everyday the same way you boil a pot of tea or look at the sunset.

Imagine a personal history that feels like home. That feels like you. That matters because it matters to you.

Same problem in Australia. I honestly don’t send much aid to the US anymore for this reason - there’s people here who desperately need aid, and they sure aren’t going to get it from the US, so I may as well put money where it’s most effective 😬

Can always do a nice font of their name over like, equipment they were in charge of or something. Artistic pen images for writers, cameras for camera crew, that sort of thing?

I feel like I don’t know enough about Fire Emblem to know which character you remind me of… but you’ve got Fire Emblem vibes?? (I’ve played a couple of games years ago but never finished them)

Nice shades 😎

Yeah Australians are not used to efficient economy of living, we’ve got people retiring in houses too big for them to take care of that weren’t designed for intergenerational living 🤪 but there’s a generational shift of expectations in house sizes happening now thanks to the housing crisis.

I’d go up the nearest mountain range and spend my ghost years watching moss grow, locals hiking, and listening to the whistle of the steam train echo through the valley

Wild!!
I’m a mountains person so that looks normal (flat horizon scares me, why do we not fall into sky??) except for the fact that the leaves are all different colours. Really does look like a patchwork quilt 😮 very cool!
(It’s all evergreen forests where I live!)

This from: I went to a baby shower in the weekend and couldn’t help but talk about the public housing demolitions and try to convince more people to get involved in democratic engagement

Trying to convince them that it gets less depressing when you’re doing *something* about it all, I swear

Minister for Housing and Homelessness went on record recently to say they want housing prices to “rise sustainably”. That angered me - I know the politicians as a whole aren’t for it, but to have someone in *that* portfolio to say that, is such a farce. As is the word sustainable in that context!

My cat did that once when it was really cold and raining and she wanted cuddles. The greatest gift she’s ever given me.

Apart from all the hairballs, of course. Those are the gift that keeps giving 🤪

Then err, godspeed and good luck with the next one? 😂

If it stands without threat of collapse, it’s quality.
The rest of the details just give it artistic character :)

The broken tiling is the pièce de résistance on this artistic homage to living as a modern peasant. As a hermit it’s these little details I pay heed to when choosing which lord on whose lands I shall toil and slowly go insane, allowing others to draw closeness to the gods through my mad utterings
