Felt a tiny bit like a human on Sunday, just managing things around fatigue. I know summer is going to be a killer but I do really miss it right now

Thought this one might be interesting for folks udner the #Auslarp tag. Something I think rping often promotes through the medium itself is connectivity where there is isolation; as an inherently social art form. +“Radical imagination” where there is stagnation, necessary for games to come alive.

Well it’s out there now. The plan to demolish all public housing in Victoria looks very different when taken in light of potential closing down Homes Victoria. Don’t have to manage what you destroy.

The Sunday Herald Sun can reveal the Allen government is examining the possible merger of major entities as it slashes jobs from the public service. Senior government sources said assessments had been undertaken on the viability of mergers that would rein in spending ahead of an expected “catastrophic budget.” They include considering the merger of public housing operator Homes Victoria – which has been on the brink of financial collapse for years – with Development Victoria. Forecasts have Victoria on track to hit $118bn by 2028, but blowouts on major projects and the government’s wages bill are expected to significantly affect that figure. The government’s wages is frantically working to avoid a debt blowout as sources warned net debt could exceed $200bn. Funding could also be slashed to services including specialist legal services. The government’s latest financial update shows expenses had increased by $3.36bn more than anticipated. (Article continues)

Everything Everywhere All At Once is hands down one of my fave movies ever. Other favourites include the Handmaiden and The Half of It :3 Here for the queers 🙌

It’s a gentle week, or rather two weeks - I’ve had to cancel a few outings to prioritise health. One of the events I did make it out for was the launch of the Planetary Civics program with a talk by Patricia Piccinini (the surrealist artist) & Rosi Braidotti (a researcher from the Netherlands)

Morning at the Trans Justice rally, followed by afternoon at the Climate Adaptation Fair. I am nerding out a lot over this reusable cup station run by the coffee stall, where you can wash them yourself before returning 😍😍 suuuch a good idea for events of this size!

I swear if I gave my cat those animal training talking buttons she would pick it up so fast. The way she paws at my phone in the morning in a vain attempt to make the alarm go off for breakfast… I paw back, also in vain, trying to get her to stop. She refuses to yield. Has the will of a mountain.

Just finished this book. I picked it up because I’m currently a sucker for dark academia + magical themes. Turns out, was exactly what I hoped it’d be plus more because I didn’t know it had queer content - overall a gripping read for me that perfectly suited my current narrative hunger. 🌈📚

Cat tax, as bluesky hasn’t met my cat yet. This was shortly after giving her butt fluff a strategic trim for summer. Luckily Jaffa is unable to hold a real grudge and instantly forgives me when treats and play comes out afterwards.

Thought I’d upload some art just because it’s something I do. Used to be a big part of my life goals, but now I feel almost like an anti-professional. I’ve steered away from digital art and towards traditional, changed the goalposts for myself to bring joy back.
