GenX POV:HR and PR are typical pink collar domains, and I have a tsp of appreciation for a plain menopausal woman with a typical career, who didn’t both to cover her gray roots before her date, was shagging and bagging a CEO. No doubt, but these times call for bold language to fight back against the BS, the simpler and more direct, the better.

Now, if you are ethnically White, you are luckiest; measles' exposure and survival is multi-generational in your family's history. For the rest of us, it's a swift killer and a painful way to die. Every sore hurts. Nerves overloaded. For the lucky, maybe your kid will come out of it just deaf.

If your child can’t fight it off, death will happen in 7-10 days (earlier for infants). It takes 10 days after the 2nd shot to sufficiently build antibodies. If your child is already fighting measles, the shots might be too late; it depends on how strong the scourge is in their bodies.

If your child succumbs:
- keep them quarantined
- keep them hydrated
- fight the fever as diligently as possible
- high doses of Vitamin A is NOT effective and an addtl stressor on the body. Remember: the dose makes it poison. So, rethink your trust in such theories if your child’s life is at stake

We have four hospitals on my island and they are all 90 min apart by drive. And when we factor out auto accidents, my island sends more medivac flights to the main hospitals in the big city than all other islands combined.
