After 2 xmases living with my parents (Jewish, don’t do Xmas at all), we are super excited about being in our own home this year. Starting prep early with some extra tree decorations because you can never have too many.

Manchester Contemporary Art Fair - the amazing patrons scheme once again facilitating Manchester Art Gallery to buy contemporary artwork linked to the Northwest. Tonight we were able to purchase from 7 artists whose works will support our teaching agenda around visual literacy.

Spent the day at Quarry Bank Mill. Kids were not impressed with the idea of working in a mill ‘but it’s so dangerous mummy!’ Well, yes. They learnt a lot though, had fun and big kid says she’ll stop complaining about needing to wait her turn to use the (indoor) toilet.

18hrs in the oven and about 250g of tomatoes as a result. BUT we did the maths and they’re still cheaper than store bought AND delicious. Might invest in a dehydrator for next summer.

Day 2 of #museum30 is #introduction so here I am with my sidekick.
I’m Senior Creative Lead @mcrartgallery which essentially means I lead on all programming. Harry mostly sleeps, climbs into the dishwasher and raids bins but his contributions are invaluable.

Today was all about books and the histories they tell. ‘Founders and Funders’ at the John Rylands Library followed by ‘bookends and beginnings’ at the Portico Library.
