To the folks here who also follow me on Mastodon, yesterday morning Squeaky.social suffered a catastrophic incident. At approximately 3 AM on July 30th, a lightning arrester and insulator connected to the town's electrical grid failed, causing a destructive surge that created a blackout for 3 hours.
