Lots of this kind of hilarious acrobatics. Having 38inch long legs also helped

This book is a near future speculative policy thriller - which is sexier then it sounds. This book is hyper-real, detailing myriad global rebellions, policy changes and inventions all from the perspective of lived experience. And a hot trans person who breaks then reinvents the Internet, obviously.

Cozy speculative fiction that also scientifically checks out - all her books are pretty great in the vein of 'imagining survivable futures'

Red Green is my favorite uncle. I found this at a tiny bookstore and was so delighted by the fact it exists and the content is exactly what you'd expect.

I read this on a wooden train that took 14 hours to get from Bucharest to the town in the Transylvanian mountains where i was going to work when i was 19.

Also there is a deep appeal to the complicated but visceral vampyric lust 🖤

I went through a significant groupie phase, and this book was almost as hot. It's also what the movie Almost Famous is based on.

Really any of Ursula Le Guin's speculative work. Speculative fiction is the ethnography of hypothetical futures, when done right. And she always does it right💅

I have a GFE boyfriend shopping for cars for me because i don't have time and honestly, it's incredibly endearing. You don't even have to be a sub to make yourself useful and appreciated.

Why's it gotta be white tho

This book is incredibly well referenced and is a round-up (see what i did there) of how horses have been central to human culture and social change until very recently, with an emphasis on horses in Indigenous cultures and both sides of settler colonialism. Also surprisingly readable.

Annie Proulx short stories, generally. If you are in any way slightly horny for cowboys and tragedy I'd highly reading the original Brokeback Mountain, contained in this collection.

Not coincidentally, the photo below is what i was up to last weekend
