Easy follow. Your writing fits in the perfect "middle spot" of my learning. Where I know how LLMs work at a very high level and have a good basis in CS/Math, but cannot actually build, debug, or deeply understand a complex LLM (more than just a very basic layers). Thank you!

"so you have a 1M line codebase, eh?"

If you understand what software engineering as a career actually entails (lots of people and organizational problems, understanding legacy code and tradeoffs) you are at a career advantage over those who understand the job as just producing code.

Those jobs could be replaced. But that ain’t the job

Worded poorly on my part. 2nd night of storms. Last night was also stormy.

Of that I have no doubt. Each release has neat new stuff that I'm sure I'll get to leverage 6-18 months after it is released lol.

Not sure if this is commentary on K8s 1.34 or fear for our 2nd round of storms tonight.... :)

And let's not talk about network engineers: there's no way it's DNS, DNS has been triple-checked, and it turns out it's still DNS (or TTL)

Neat! I'll have to drive around sometime. I'm more used to them being a feature in almost every yard/green area, even small ones.

You guys have lightning bugs up here! I'll have to find a better place to find them... Apparently they aren't in (almost) every grassy area like I'm used to.
