That might be a decisive margin, though! 10% of the, idk, 20% of the electorate that is frustrated with their vote for Trump? That’s a 4-point swing

No, the president can declare DOGE essential, have Elon pay them separately to keep working, and then DOGE could have decided to furlough everyone else and try to blame Dems for it
March 14, 2025 at 12:51 PM
If House GOP had put together a bill that was toxic enough that they, not Dems, would’ve been blamed for the shutdown, I think Schumer would’ve happily filibustered it. As it is, I don’t think that’s what was on offer. I think this was a brutal choice and it’s not clear to me Schumer is in the wrong

Trump during a shutdown: “Why do you keep hitting yourself? Why do you keep hitting yourself?”
March 14, 2025 at 12:37 PM
Sure, primary all of them! That should’ve happened anyway after Biden decided to run again. But this was just clearly a losing fight to me and I’m glad we avoided it

Historical image of Schumer defending the filibuster when he was majority leader
March 14, 2025 at 12:31 PM
I hope this does that, in a way! This might end up being Schumer & the geezers falling on their sword, politically, which was overdue since Biden made the decision to run again imo
March 14, 2025 at 12:26 PM
What do you think of the idea that a shutdown would be welcomed by Musk et al as a quick way to get most of the federal government’s employees furloughed for good in a way that’s blamed on Dems?

Ok, new plan: @estebanjq.bsky.social @heinersalomon.bsky.social
1. run RM.w() on your data as in the snippet
2. Open the Excel template at this site www.fao.org/in-action/vo...
3. result$b --> C7:C14
4. result$a --> F6:F14
5. result$se.a --> G6:G14
6. result$wt.rs --> H6:H14
February 6, 2025 at 6:16 PM
The more I stare at this the more I feel like it's incomplete, actually. Like, maybe I need to use the RM.w() results to do a linear transformation of the global reference scale to get the proper thresholds. I'm not super sure, tbh

And in this reunion Brynn tends to dig in and not really consider others' perspectives with much compassion, either. But like, can we all just be nice to Brynn? Can we not vilify her over this? Vilify her over other stuff, sure! But not this
February 6, 2025 at 4:26 PM
This isn't an anti-Ubah statement at all, by the way. The whole thing had to be heartbreaking for her. But like, it's obviously heartbreaking for Brynn, too! She is going through it!

trump is increasing the cost of gasoline, has made it nearly impossible to manufacture gas-burning cars in the us, and has pledged more-or-less limitless support to the country's top electric car entrepreneur. and leftists are mad???????

Come to the Midwest lol

Elsewhere in your CSM pieces, which I've enjoyed, you've proposed a path forward for a big-tent Dem coalition. Here, it's just like spaghetti on the wall to get more furry pfps to block u? Idk dawg. Missed opportunity. Not in keeping with the constructive spirit of CSM.

(ftr I love my bsky furries)

I *hope* your goal here was to demonstrate that saying boring shit doesn't make anyone mad. Otherwise, why is this ur big "cancel me!!!!" article?? Like, yeah, sure, men and women are different. We see the charts. Pointing that out isn't interesting or constructive politics at all
