Yup! One of my friends is in Germany and recently moved into a new apartment—they even have to buy their own SINK.

I’ve never learned to cook most classic recipes, I don’t even have a name for 80% of the food I make, but knowing enough of the basics of how foods work together and how to prepare them means my weekly grocery bill is about $20-$25 and I only get takeout maybe four or five times a year

(The culprit for the broken straps: a stretchy cloth cord that ran the length of the neck and straps, which put stress on the not-at-all stretchy crochet every time it moved. I swear I could hear the gown sigh in long-awaited relief as I removed it!)
