October is breast cancer awareness month. I found the lump in my breast 35 years ago this month. I have officially lived longer post-breast cancer than pre-breast cancer. Do yourself a favor and do your self exams every month.

I wasn’t able to join a hands off protest today due to a previous commitment. I did, however, drive past a small group in Lawton, OK. I honked like crazy….and then teared up. I hated missing out on the chance to make my voice heard.

I did it! I called my Representative and both of my Senators. I had to leave voicemail messages for two of them but I actually talked to a staff member for Senator James Langford and I didn’t spontaneously combust! I can’t do much but I can do this. I’m so proud of myself I’m tearing up.
