I think you could maybe make a multi-part presidency work if you had settings to auto-start halfway through, with OTL having occurred up to that point (or just built a save button between each election which would be a lot easier since you’d just need to track your own variables and not TCT stuff)

Even if Democrats do win the house in 2026, there’s no clear sign that a shutdown is avoidable, because if Republicans secretly want a shutdown they can just refuse to negotiate with a Dem congress and hand the keys to Trump.
