At New Years eve, we wondered if "table bombs" (direct translation from Danish "Bordbombe") are a Danish thing, and it seems to be.

If you're not from Denmark, do you know these?

You put them on a table, light them up, they "blow up", spewing confetti, jokes, riddles and "toys" on your table.

This is one of the most awesome videos I've seen in a long time, and shows what online communities are capable of! Doesn't matter if you like CRTs (it doesn't hurt though) but the story in itself is worth it!

Highly recommendable, and congratulations to all involved, you made history!
New video. This one has been in the works for over 2 years. I think this is the best story I will ever tell on my YouTube channel.

I have a Sony BVM-A14 "for parts" as it needed a new ISR and a PSU. After receiving both, it turned out that the ISR came from an A20, and thus the on-board "remote" of the A14 didn't work! To fix this, "hacking" was necessary, so if you dig that, here's a writeup on how I did it: immerhax.com?p=959

Found out that my dishwasher tabs are only 32 bit and must've required a license from Intel to be produced...

I helped a friend buy a PVM locally a while ago, a 14L1. This model only has S-video and composite. However, thanks to @martinhejnfelt.bsky.social's awesome work it can be modded for RGB. Here’s a thread of how I modded my friend’s monitor to support RGB SCART input.🧵
