NO ONE should be sent to a dark prison in El Salvador to be *abused* daily. Without even a crime shown, they were not just deported: they were sent to one of the worst places on Earth to be abused, disappeared, and condemned to a life/death sentence! This is a horrific massive crime.

Facts : the MAJORITY of people captured and detained by ICE have ZERO actual criminal record nor convictions. Most were in fact following the legal process. ICE is simply NOT law enforcement: it is something else.

I am often baffled, asking myself the question what is the point of democracy, laws, Constitution, if governments can just declare that they are bypassing them (notwithstanding clause)... There are exceptions to rights and freedoms, but they must be justified by something that could hold in court.

I have seen, on a smaller scale, what private consultants do to public services and it was quite bad (in Quebec). Higher cost, minimal service, lack of accountability, lack of in-house expertise for the actual public service, etc. Sad era to be in.
